How To Fix Broken HDMI Port For All PS3 Models




If you have unfortunately broke your PlayStation 3 HDMI port it is not an easy and here is a full guide so you can enjoy games on your HDTV again. Buy PS2 HDMI Adapter & HDMI Cable & 3.5mm Male to Male Jack you can find these on eBay or Amazon, you also need a HDMI cable and 3.5mm audio output sound for the adapter if you don't already have one




Step 0: If your PS3 was previously set on HDMI display make your PS3 is switched off then plug it into the mains. Plug a standard AV Out into your TV. Press and hold the power for about 10 seconds till your hear a sound and your display changes from a "no signal" to a black screen. After this your PS3 should reset itself to standard resolution and your should see the homescreen.
Step 1 : Turn on your Sony PS3 Console
turn on your Sony Console and wait for your console to reach the home screen.

Step 2: Go to settings

Step 3: Go to Display Settings


Step 4: Adjust Video Output Settings

Step 5: Go To The Composite D Terminal Option
Make sure your adapter is ready and plug your HDMI and audio cable are plugged into your TV as you only have 30 seconds otherwise it will switch back to standard AV.



Step 6: You should see this screen. If you have a HDTV Choose 1080P then press square to test the resolution.  
Note: I selected 1080P and 1080I and 720P this demonstration purposes if you have a HDTV just tick 1080P 

If you see this screen you can wait for it to return to this screen or press circle. With 1080P being ticked press X to confirm your selection

 You can test each display mode using square the screen will attempt to display your desired resolution. If your TV doesn't work with it choose a different resolution. 

Step 7: Finished your TV can display High Definition using your adapter.
